On May 17, the major repair of 34.1 km of road III-906 through Dyulin Passage, FOCUS reported.

This is the section from Staro Oryahovo to Gyulovtsa and is on the territory of Varna and Burgas regions. The program of the "Road Infrastructure" Agency envisages that 65.6 km of the third-class road will be rehabilitated with funds from the republican budget. The route connects the regions of Varna and Burgas and is an alternative for those passing through the Obzor and Aitos passes - road I-9 Sunny Beach - Obzor and road III-208 Daskotna - Aytos.

The implementation of the construction and assembly works is divided into two sections. The repair starts from the first over 34-kilometer section between Staro Oryahovo and Gyulovtsa. The project includes a complete reconstruction of the route and repair of two bridges over the Dvoinitsa and Byala rivers. The deadline for the construction and installation works is 540 calendar days. It is planned that the construction and installation activities will be carried out without stopping the traffic, as the cars will pass in the lane in which no construction activities are carried out. If there is a need to restrict traffic, the I-9 Staro Oryahovo road will be used as a bypass route – White – Obzor - Aheloy – Burgas.

By the end of June, immediately after the construction permit is issued, it is planned to begin the repair of the second section - from the village of Gyulovtsa to the intersection with the I-9 Sunny Beach – Burgas. The route is 31.5 km long and is entirely on the territory of the Burgas region. The deadline for the implementation of the construction and assembly works is 540 calendar days. During the major repair of the road in the Burgas region, 4 bridges will be renewed, which are over the Byala River, over an irrigation canal, over the spillway of the "Poroy" dam. and above the river Aheloy.
